Over 20,000 men, especially the youth within the age range of 15 to 25 in Lilongwe, have been circumcised between the month of April and June this year.
This was revealed on Wednesday during the supervision of Dolo Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision campaign that was conducted by Lilongwe District Council Officials and Jhpiego, an organization affiliated to John Hopkins.
Community Mobilization and Communication Officer for Dolo VMMC project, Dave Nkombezi, said the figures are a clear indication that a lot of men, particularly the youth, have now realized the importance of VMMC.
