UTM condemns violence, calls for peace ahead of VP’s burial tomorrow

UTM party has condemned the violent activities which reportedly happened in Ntcheu when the convoy ferrying the remains of Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima was making its way to Nsipe from Lilongwe.

Addressing the media at Nsipe, UTM spokesperson Felix Njawala and its Secretary General, Patricia Kaliati, urged their supporters not to perpetuate violence, stressing that Dr. Chilima was a peaceful person.

‘We cannot tolerate violence, Dr Chilima advocated for peace, let us do the same,” Kaliati said.
