Blantyre honours late Chilima and eight in moving memorial event

The atmosphere in Blantyre’s Central Business District (CBD) is sombre as the community gathers for a candlelight service to pay tribute to the Vice President late Saulos Chilima and the eight other individuals who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash on Monday.

The memorial event is marked by flickering candlelight and solemn reflections.

Artists Onesmus and Eli Njuchi are adding a touch of solace and reverence to the event with their soulful music, weaving melodies that resonate with the collective grief and sense of loss felt by all in attendance.

Similar events were held in lilongwe and mzuzu yesterday.
