Zomba Police has confirmed that two men have died in a road accident at Naming’azi along the Zomba-Domasi stretch of the M3 Road.
The accident involved a Nissan Otti which was heading to Songani and a van travelling to Zomba town.
Zomba Police publicist, Patricia Sipiliyano, said two more people have sustained injuries.
Fredson Kambeni, the spokesperson for Zomba Central Hospital, said one died at the scene of the accident while the other passenger passed away while being treated at the hospital.
Kambeni mentioned that one of the victims has suffered severe head injuries and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit while another one has sustained fractures.
One of the drivers who has died in the accident has been identified as Collins Potani. However, the details of the rest were not immediately available.
