Ecobank Malawi has announced that musician Temwah is this year’s Ecobank Day ambassador.
The day, which is observed across 33 African countries, is set aside for Ecobank and its affiliates to give back to the communities in which they operate.
Ecobank Malawi Head of Brand, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Tidzi Chalamba confirmed that Temwah is their ambassador for this year.
“Her work aligns seamlessly with Ecobank’s mission of creating a better Africa through education and innovation,” reads the statement in part.
In the deal, the “Ndili kuti” hitmaker is expected to help drive awareness of Artificial Intelligence’s role in enhancing literacy and numeracy in primary schools.
Reacting to this ambassadorship deal, Temwah said she is honoured that a big financial institution has seen her talent and chose to work with her.
Ecobank will celebrate its 2024 Ecobank Day on 19 October, 2024 under the theme “Ignite Learning with AI.”By Alufisha Fischer
