ST John Bosco in Climate Change drive

Headteacher of Saint John Bosco Secondary School in Mzimbaz Fariot Ngwira, says schools have a role to play in mitigating climate change.

Ngwira said this during a tree planting exercise that the school organised with support from FDH Bank.

“The school has planted 1200 trees of pine and bluegum that FDH Bank supported us [with], and I am optimistic that the exercise will help to mitigate climate change in the area,” Ngwira said.

One of the students who took part in the tree planting programme, Simeon Mnkhonya, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the school’s legacy and environmental sustainability.
