SMEs set for Tiyeni Tigulitse Flea Market

COMESA Federation of Women in Business – Malawi Chapter and the Graca Machel Trust have organised what they are calling the Tiyeni Tigulitse Flea Market where SMEs will network.

Raymond Kapalamula, National Programme Coordinator for COMFWB, said the programme is a platform where Malawian business owners will showcase their products and also find markets.

Patrick Botha, Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, said the flea markets create opportunities for SMEs to expand their businesses. He added that this aligns with the government’s efforts to promote economic development and reduce export dependency, stating that supporting local businesses and products is crucial in limiting Malawi’s export baggage.

The three day Tiyeni Tigulitse Flea Market will run until Saturday 11 September 2024 in Lilongwe.
