Raiply Volleyball sponsorship rises to K25 million

Raiply Malawi Limited has raised the sponsorship amount for this year’s volleyball tournament from K10 million to K25 million.

Speaking in Mzuzu during a press conference, the company’s representative, Jackson Chakuma said the increase is meant to cushion the effects of inflation and to hype the tempo during this year’s tournament, which kicks off on Friday.

President of the Volleyball Association of Malawi, James Kaunda, hailed the company for their continued support of the sport, saying it is helping to promote the game in Malawi.

The winners in both the male and female categories will receive K4 million and runners-up will get K2.5 million while the third-placed teams will get K1.5 Million each.

24 teams are expected to participate during this year’s tournament with each region contributing eight teams.
