Old Mutual Malawi, in partnership with the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi Chapter, has trained members of the Association of Women in Media (AWOME) and various journalists in the Southern Region on the application of the new Pensions Act of 2023.
The training aims to empower journalists to take control of their life investments.
The General Manager for Old Mutual Pension Services, Tawonga Manda, said they want to help the media better understand changes made to the law.
According to MISA Malawi Executive Member, Chikondi Kasambala, the new Voluntary Pension Scheme will help a lot of journalists, especially Freelancers.
