No time to celebrate –– Kumilambe

Willy Kumilambe, the coach of Malawi Beach Soccer, anticipates a difficult challenge as they are set to face Middle Eastern team, Saudi Arabia, at 4 PM today.

However, it is worth noting that Seychelles defeated Saudi Arabia 3-1 yesterday while Malawi defeated South Africa 4-2, the hosts of the 2024 COSAFA Beach Soccer.

Malawi are currently tied with Seychelles at the top of Group A on three points.

Seychelles will be up against South Africa at 12 PM.

In an interview, the Malawi coach said that there is no time for celebration following yesterday’s victory.

He urged supporters to continue showing rallying behind the team,saying this will serve as an incentive for the team.

In other matches in Group B, Angola defeated Tanzania 3-2 after extra time and Morocco defeated Mozambique 5-2.

From 10:30 AM in Group B, it will be Mozambique vs Tanzania and Morocco vs Angola at 14:30 PM.
