Maso Awards has announced its intentions to launch an arts export initiative in a bid to ship out local art through collaboration with international and local stakeholders.
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer for the show, Augustine Mukisi, said this in Blantyre on Monday during a press briefing.
“This will be launched next year and we aim to partner with government departments. It is still in the pipeline to facilitate the submission of artistic works such as songs to the Grammy awards,” he said.
He then announced that this year’s awards ceremony will take place in Blantyre on 28 December.
Publicist for Maso Awards, Sivy Symon, said for this year’s edition, they have partnered Fedesh Properties and will have five new awarding categories.
Symon said the Gospel Act has been split into two for the best male and female and Social Media Creator will also have a female category.
