The football associations of Malawi, Kenya, Zambia, and Zimbabwe have partnered to hold a joint tournament as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The tournament will feature the senior men’s national teams and the Under 20sz with a view of developing and exposing young talent as the youth teams are also preparing for the 2024 AFCON tournament.
“We believe hosting these joint tournaments will build camaraderie between our nations, and provide high-level competition for our players,” reads a statement MBC Online has seen, shared by FAM.
