Kaunda confident Karonga United can end Silver Strikers’ unbeaten streak

Karonga United coach Oscar Kaunda is optimistic about his team’s chance of ending Silver Strikers’ unbeaten run in the TNM Super League this season.

Karonga United will face the league leaders at Silver Stadium on Saturday. Kaunda stated that his team is not intimidated by Silver’s current form.

Silver Strikers’ coach Peter Mponda said their current form will not disturb their focus ahead of their eighth assignment against Karonga United.

The Central Bankers will continue to be without Duncan Nyoni, Atusaye Nyondo, Gift Chunga and Binwell Katinji who are out due to various injuries.

Currently Karong United are 9th on the log table with 9 points while Silver Strikers are league leaders with 19 points.

So far, the Bankers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are the only Super League teams that remain unbeaten this season.

In other Saturday fixtures, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers will visit the northern region for the first time this season to play against Mzuzu City Hammers at Mzuzu Stadium. Winless rookies Baka City will face fellow newcomers Creck Sporting Club at Karonga Stadium, and at Chitowe Stadium, MAFCO will host FOMO.
