Legendary reggae artist Jimmy Cliff, who turned 81 on October 30,2025, has passed away following a seizure followed by pneumonia, a statement issued by his wife Latifa Chambers shows.
“To all his fans around the world, please know that your support was his strength throughout his whole career. I also want to thank Dr Couceyro and the whole medical staff as they have been extremely supportive and helpful during this difficult process,” reads the statement by Latifa and children Lilty and Aken.
Born James Chambers, Jimmy Cliff gained global fame for his popular hits such as ‘Many rivers to cross’ ‘Journey’ and ‘I can see clearly’.
