Japanese government through CADECOM has officially handed over Kapichira Health Centre in Kasungu North East constituency valued at K150 million to the Malawi government.
Deputy Minister of Health, Halima Daud, highlighted the significance of the donation, stating it will enhance healthcare services in the country.
She emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the facility is well-staffed, equipped and resourced to deliver high-quality care.
Member of Parliament for Kasungu North East and Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, praised the Japanese government for their contribution, noting its positive impact on local health services.
The new Kapichira Health Centre features a four-bed maternity ward, flush toilets, and outpatient rooms.
