Women lawyers Association (WLA) has reiterated the need for girls in the country to know their rights to help them understand gender based violence.
Member of WLA, Naomi Nhlane, said during a career talk at Neno Girls Mission Secondary School in Neno District.
Nhlane observed that informed girls can easily know when they face any form of gender based violence and be able to report to relevant authorities.
She added that girls should pursue education to enable them become financially independent.
Headteacher for the school, Lucy Mzembe, said she is optimistic that the girls will take the messages shared seriously and will help them to work hard in school and achieve their dreams.
