Centre for Youth Empowerment and Civic Organisation (CYECE) has called for the active involvement of youths in various research activities.
Lucky Mbewe, CYECE’s Executive Director, said this in Lilongwe during the launch of Youth Researchers Academy Cohort 4 project.
The project will engage 30 Malawian youths who will conduct various research on different issues affecting them.
Mbewe said, “Doing such research will also help in policy formulation that will lobby for increased support towards youth.”
Minister of Youth and Sports, Uchizi Mkandawire, concurred, saying the youth are key to the development of the country.
