The Ministry of Finance has approved the appointment of Daniel Daka as the Commissioner General of the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) and Douglas Katchomoza as Executive Director.
Officials from the ministry have confirmed the development, adding that once the MRA Board issues the appointment letters, the two are expected to assume their positions this week.
Daka succeeds John Biziwick, while Katchomoza replaces Agnes Katsonga, whose contracts have expired.
Before his new role, Daka was MRA’s Deputy Director of Tax Investigation, while Katchomoza served as the MRA’s Commissioner of Customs.
