There was drama before the start of the Parliamentary Business Committee meeting earlier today as two leaders of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa and George Chaponda availed themselves to the meeting.
The Business Committee of Parliament is meeting ahead of the budget meeting opening slated for Friday 9 February.
Chaponda was recently appointed by former head of state and DPP leader Peter Mutharika to take over opposition leadership in Parliament from Nankhumwa after Nankhumwa was expelled from DPP.
Speaker of Parliament sent out Chaponda, saying there is still a court injunction on the removal of Nankhumwa from the opposition leadership.
At the moment, the meeting is underway and Chaponda has since left Parliament building.
