Chakwera to press for better prices

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has vowed to fight for better commodity prices as a way of championing the wealth creation agenda.

Dr Chakwera says agriculture remains central to increasing both household income as well as the country’s foreign reserves hence the need to press for better prices.

The Malawi leader is speaking at the official opening of the 2024 Tobacco Marketing Season.

The Malawi leader has since expressed hope that the good working relationship which is there between the government and tobacco buyers will help improve prices.
