President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says SADC Heads of State and Government have agreed to pursue diplomatic negotiations aside from the military interventions aimed at resolving conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado.
Dr Chakwera said on arrival at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe from an extraordinary SADC summit held in Zambia.
According to the President, focusing solely on conflict resolution is not conducive to progress.
The Malawi leader emphasised the significance of addressing climate change challenges impacting the region and the importance of prioritising efforts to ensure food security within SADC.
