Bhubesi Pride Foundation says it has embarked on a four-year project to use sports as a tool for acceleration of development in different communities within Lilongwe District.
The Foundation’s Executive Director, Nohara Chinguwo, made the remarks at Bingu National Stadium after engaging ministries of gender, sports and education. Chinguwo observed that sports is a great tool for information dissemination.
“We are not working on developing sports but we are doing sports for development. All we want is to achieve our goal using different sporting disciplines,” said Chinguwo.
Speaking on behalf of the three ministries, Deputy Director Responsible for Sports Development in Ministry of Sports, Kinna Phiri, said the foundation has come up with a great initiative and the ministries engaged will do everything possible to help them succeed. He then pledged both technical and physical support.
