Become job creators, not seekers — Kabwira

Distinguished academician Jessie Kabwira, who is the Publicity Secretary of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), has encouraged students from the School of Education, Communication and Media Studies at the University of Business and Applied Sciences to embrace innovation and creativity.

She said this on Thursday in Blantyre during a symposium on entrepreneurship and innovation by the final year students of the faculty.

Kabwira urged them to explore diverse opportunities and strive to become job creators rather than job seekers.

The MCP publicist also told the students to explore alternative paths beyond employment in the civil service, saying this is key to growing the private sector and critical in contributing to Malawi’s economic development.
