Right to Food Coalition has called for sustainable financing solutions that can strengthen the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC).
Chairperson of the Coalition, Alfred Kambwiri, says empowering the National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) as well as ADMARC to be financially viable can help the two institutions deal with scarcity of food with ease.
He stressed that ADMARC and NFRA remain key institutions in the fight against hunger.
The Coalition, which is a consortium of fourteen non-governmental organisations, made the plea ahead of its Right to Food National conference scheduled to start on Wednesday in Lilongwe.
