Father Claude Boucher, otherwise known as Achisale, has died at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
He was a staunch custodian of Malawi’s cultural heritage and spent well over 40 years researching into Malawian culture and languages.
Many will remember him for being instrumental in setting up the Kungoni Centre for Cultural and Arts at Mua in Dedza District.
Mua Mission was set up in 1902 by white fathers.
