Communities from Senior Chief Mlumbe have been presented with customary estate/land ownership certificates from the Ministry of Lands.
It targets rural communities and the Ministry is implementing the exercise with technical and financial support from Malawi Watershed Services Improvement Project (MWASIP).
Meanwhile, Senior Chief Mlumbe has expressed hope that the provision of ownership certificates to communities will result in further improvement and management of customary land in all aspects, including environment.
