Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Patrick Phiri, a businessman in Mzimba, who was found dead on October 27, 2024.
Phiri, who operated an Airtel Money kiosk, went missing the night before, on October 26, 2024, after receiving a call to conduct a transaction at his business.
According to Jenda Police Public Relations Officer, Macfarlen Mseteka, he never returned home that night and was found dead the following morning with stab wounds on the stomach.
“Jenda Police has arrested.Precious Msonthi, Moses Mithi and Joseph Phiri as there is strong evidence suspecting them of having a hand in the gruesome murder, ” said Mseteka.
The three suspects have been charged with murder, which is contrary to section 209 of the penal code and will appear before court soon.
