Suspected cattle thief arrested in Chikwawa

Police in Chikwawa are keeping in custody a man for allegedly stealing nine herds of cattle valued at about K7 million.

According to Police publicist in the district, Dickson Matemba, the suspect has been identified as Samu James of Nyaekha Village, Traditional Authority Ngabu in Chikwawa District.

The officers in the Shire Valley arrested the suspect after receiving a tip-off from well-wishers.

The suspect will appear in court soon to answer theft charges.
