The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) is set to host a fundraising dinner to kick-start funding for clubs in the forthcoming 2024 Football Season.
According to Gilbert Mitawa, President for SULOM, the dinner is scheduled for March 1st at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
Twikale Chirwa, a well-known marketer, has been appointed as the chairperson of the fundraising committee.
SULOM’s primary sponsor, the Telecommunications Company TNM, also recently indicated its intention to triple the league sponsorship package.
Effective this year, each club will get K10 million from the sponsorship money and another K10 million from the Football Association of Malawi (FAM).
In the 2023 season, TNM and SULOM entered into a three-year contract with a total package of K450 million.
