According to Rudi, the skills will help them effectively promote civic engagement and advocate for social change in the upcoming 2025 elections.

Programmes Coordinator for YAS, Mwandida Theu, said artists play a crucial role in influencing people hence the need to engage them on issues that concern the public.

An afro pop artist, Leslie, commended YAS and MEC for the training.

“This has come as a wakeup call for artists to remember that our voice is a powerful tool for activism in the nation,” she said.

The training has brought together different creatives from across the country.
