Police in Blantyre have arrested three suspected armed robbers in connection with an attack that took place at Soche East on the night of March 12 this year.
Hopeness Potani, the deputy publicist for Soche Police, identified the suspects as Madalitso Mthupi, 34, Mike Davie, 28 and Gift John, 19.
Potani says the three men, armed with an AK-47 rifle, shot the home-owner, Alex Makanjira, in the stomach and went away with various electronics and K100,000 cash.
After the incident was reported to the police, Soche Police Criminal Investigations Department launched an inquest, which led to the arrest of the suspects.
The police also managed to recover the rifle and a Plasma Television screen.
