ROTARIANS CHALLENGE LEARNING INSTITUTIONS ON CAREER TALKS

The Rotary Club of Lilongwe City Centre has called on learning institutions to take career talks seriously because they play a great role to students in terms of career choices.

The club’s Director of Vocational Services, Rolland Mhango, was speaking at Paramount International Academy where the charity organisation held a career talk.

Deputy Head Teacher for Paramount Academy International, Fiona Elias, hailed the cordial working relationship that exists between the school and the Rotary Club.

Malewezi giving a career talk

In his remarks, Deputy Head Boy for Paramount International Academy, Watipatsa Njikho, said the initiative was timely as students have been completing their studies without having a proper career choice.

Some of the speakers during the career talk, included Poet Qabaniso Malewezi, Lawyer Limbikani Msiska, Juliette Suliwa from Oxfam (UK Office), Gynecologist Dr Carol and Media personality Cynthia Zulu.

Rotary Club Lilongwe City Centre was established in 2021.
