President of the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI), Wisely Phiri, has described Dr Saulos Chilima as a person who took the mindset of the private sector to the public sector.
Phiri said such an approach is key to the development of the nation and Dr Chilima will be missed for it, among many other memories.
The MCCCI leader said, for example, Dr Chilima was always time conscious wherever he was conducting government business and spread the same mentality to a lot of people.
He has implored business executives and the youth to emulate the life of Dr Chilima.
Before politics, Dr Chilima was a business executive and held key positions, including being the first Malawian to head Airtel Malawi as the company’s Managing Director.
