Malawi Prison Service has urged communities to participate in the re-integration of offenders released from prisons for the development of the country.
Malawi Prison Service Commissioner for Operations and Security, Aaron Kaunda, said this in Mzuzu during the finals of Northern Region Prisons Sports Tournament.
Business and Development Officer at Pinnacle Financial Services, Monase Chinamale, said the tournament was important for interaction and has promised that they will continue to support the tournament in future.
Pinnacle Financial Services is one of the companies that supported the event.
Meanwhile, Malawi Prison Service intends to introduce Commissioner’s General Sports Tournament which will be participated by all prison officers in the country.
