NYIKA MEDIA CLUB PLEDGES TO HYPE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

Nyika Media Club has pledged to promote the tourism sector through its partnership with one of the players in the industry, Grand Palace Hotel.

Chairperson of Nyika Media Club, Joseph Mwale, made the pledge in Mzuzu when the Grand Palace Hotel offered Nyika Media Club a venue and other necessities ahead of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for  2 March 2024.

“As journalists we have a role to play in promoting the hospitality industry in Malawi and our partnership with Grand Palace Hotel will be a driving factor to hype the tourism sector,” said Mwale.

General Manager of the hotel, Sam Phiri,  said the institution is delighted to work with journalists in the region and beyond.

“We are pledging to support you with a venue and other necessities worth K1.7 million including snacks and possibly there will also be lunch for your members at your AGM,” said Phiri.

Nyika Media Club is expected to conduct its elective AGM where members will usher in a new executive committee to run the affairs of the club for the next three years.
