Minister of Water and Sanitation Abida Mia has donated K500 thousand to a 16-year-old boy Dwayne Nyambo for leading a team of youths, in a cleanup exercise at Zingwangwa Market and Health Center in Blantyre.
Mia visited Nyambo at his parents’ home in Chimwankhunda where she also promised to link him with other non-governmental organisations that will support his course.
Nyambo who is an alumnus of the USA youth mentorship programme called ‘On Demand Youth Leadership’, said he is implementing the environmental resilience programme, after noticing sanitation gaps in several markets, particularly, Zingwangwa.
