A delegation of stakeholders in the labour sector from Uganda, Kenya and host country Malawi are meeting in Blantyre to strategize on child labour elimination.
The meeting comes as part of a study visit under the International Labour Organization’s Accelerating Action for Elimination of child Labor in supply Chains in Africa (ACCEL) project.
Implemented in six African countries, the ACCEL project has in the three countries focused on Tea and Coffee industries.
At the end of the meeting, the delegates would share what they have observed in Malawi and map the way forward.
After Malawi, the next study visit will be in Kenya as Uganda has already been inspected.
