President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is this morning at Chikolore Primary School at Golomoti in Dedza district where he is launching the construction of 10,900 effective classroom blocks under the Malawi Education Reform Programme (MERP).
The K150 billion project is being implemented by the Malawi Government, World Bank and Global Partnership for Education, among others, with the goal to improve the learning environment for students in lower primary in public schools in the 34 education districts.
Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima, Minister of Education Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, government officials and traditional leaders, are some of the dignitaries gracing the occasion.
