The CCAP Synod of Livingstonia has praised the government for its dedication to improving the livelihoods of Malawians through the implementation of various development initiatives.
Speaking on the matter, the Synod’s General Secretary, Reverend William Tembo, highlighted the government’s success in the agricultural sector, notably the favourable tobacco prices achieved during the recent selling season.
Reverend Tembo also noted progress in the education sector, particularly the abolition of the quota system, which had affected the northern region.
He further urged the government to expedite the construction of Mombela University and the Rumphi-Nyika-Chitipa Road, as well as to ensure timely delivery of the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP). Additionally, he called for unity among politicians to foster national development.
