GM Plastics Industry has reiterated its commitment to continue sponsoring the Blantyre District Netball League’s Player of the Week Award.
The company’s Marketing Officer, Victor Emment, said there is potential of renewing the sponsorship after it comes to expiration.
Emment made the remarks after nominating this week’s possible winners.
Hawa Chikoja of Giants NC, Adija Juma from Tigresses, Nittah Chaikatera of Chileka Sisters, Meria Mnero from Standard Sisters, Wezi Msiska of Kukoma Diamonds, Tiyenkhu Ng’ambi from Prison Queens, and Agnes Kuyenda of Air Force Sisters are the ones that have been nominated.
On 11 July this year, the company signed a 12-week sponsorship agreement with the Blantyre District Netball League Committee, under which the winner of the weekly award receives K50,000 and the player of the match receives items from the company.
Since Inception of the awards, three players have won the award, with the most recent recipient being Giants NC’s Esther Phiri.
