FIRST LADY ATTENDS FEAST OF ESTHER PRAYERS

First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera has encouraged women to use gatherings like the Feast of Easter to enrich their talents and transform lives.

Madam Chakwera said this in Lilongwe during a Feast of Esther celebration which was organized by the Women Leadership of Evangelical Association of Malawi in collaboration with the Feast of Esther Conference by Pastor Folu Adeboye.

The Feast of Esther  Conference brings together pastors’ wives, female ministers, women leaders for ECM among others to help them contribute meaningfully towards operations of the church and their countries.

In her keynote address, former President Dr Joyce Banda challenged women to be proactive and engage in activities which can transform their lives and families. She has since called on women to be business-oriented, economically empowered and serve God at the same time.

In her sermon, the founder of the Feast of Esther, Pastor Folu Adeboye called on the women to be filled with love, be obedient and involve God in all their endeavours. She also thanked Madam Chakwera for supporting the Feast of Esther Conference.

The Feast of Esther was launched in 2002 by Pastor Folu Adeboye spouse to Pastor David Adeboye overseer of the Redeemed Church of God.

In Malawi, the feast was launched in 2014 and this year’s feast has been celebrated along with its 10 years of existence in the country.
