Film Association of Malawi (FAM) has paid tribute to the late Hope Chisanu, lauding him as a legend and one of the most significant figures in the Malawian film industry.
A tearful James Kitchen, an actor and the General Secretary of FAM, expressed the institution’s heartfelt sentiments during the arrival of the body of the late Chisanu at the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe from the United States of America, saying the deceased was not just an exceptional talent but one of the best things to happen to the Malawian film industry
Kitchen emphasised that the industry will honor Chisanu’s legacy, beginning with an all-night showcase of his films on screens in Kamphata, Lilongwe, on Wednesday, ahead of burial on Thursday.
