Muslims celebrate Eid in Mzuzu

Muslims from all walks of life in Mzuzu commemorated Eid at Katoto Ground to mark the end of fasting in the holy month of Ramadhan.

General Secretary for Muslims Association of Malawi in the North, Sheikh Hamis Lack, urged Muslims to continue praying and participating in the social economic development of the country.

“I would like to urge Malawians of all denominations to continue uniting for the sake of development in Malawi,” said Lack.

Member of Parliament for Mzuzu City, Bennex Mwamulima, wished the Muslim community joyful Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

The celebrations were marked with prayers.

Similar prayers are taking place all over the world.
