FCB BB and Silver Strikers tussle for NBS Charity Shield

All roads lead to the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this afternoon for the highly anticipated 2024 NBS Charity Shield match between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers.

The game promises excitement as Silver coach, Peter Mponda, faces his former boss, Kalisto Pasuwa, for the first time after they both spent more than two years together in the same dugout.

The game marks the curtain-raiser for the 2024 football season, with the TNM Super League Season set to kick off next weekend.

Proceeds from the match will be directed towards building sanitary facilities in schools yet to be identified in Lilongwe.

Last year, Bullets, the all-time Charity Shield winners, secured a 2-1 victory over their traditional rivals, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, setting a positive tone for their season, which ultimately saw them clinch quadruple titles.
