Mollen says so far, they have sourced K61 billion from various partners and are now require K148 billion for the set figure and to reach out to everyone who has been affected by food insecurity.
The Commissioner says currently, DoDMA is still engaging partners, locally and internationally, to mobilise the resources.
Moleni says government has allocated over 25,000 metric tonnes of Maize which will be distributed to the affected households, adding that each household will either receive a 50 kg bag of Maize or cash amounting to K90,000 during the period.
The Lean Season Food Response Plan will reach out to over 4 million Malawians who have been affected by food insecurity, as highlighted in the MVAC report and DODMA says it will reach out to all the affected in 28 districts of the country.
