Several companies have been penalised by the Competition and Fair Trading Commission over unfair trading practices.
These include Chipiku Stores, Castel Malawi, Lilongwe Technical College, Birthday Shop and Greenwing Health Insurance.
In a statement, Lloyds Vincent Nkhoma, who is the Commission’s Executive Director, said they have adjudicated on over a total of 107 cases, which included 87 cases on unfair trading practices, out of which two have been referred to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to commence criminal procedures.
