President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is attending the second Sub-Region Conference of Catholic Bishops at Area 30 in Lilongwe.
The conference which starts this morning and ends on Friday has brought together bishops from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The bishops are expected to deliberate issues concerning the church and come up with resolutions aimed at strengthening their work in spreading the gospel and promoting unity of the church in the region.
The conference was expected to take place in the country in 2022 but was rescheduled to this year.
