Bangwe All Stars Football Club’s Assistant Coach, Mapopa Msukwa has bemoaned what he describes as ‘poor officiation’ in their TNM Super League match against Moyale Barracks FC on Wednesday at Mzuzu Stadium.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Msukwa claimed that the referee awarded a ‘dubious’ penalty to Moyale FC in the last of the six minutes added to the game.
“We would have won the match if the referee did not award the penalty to Moyale FC. This has been so painful to us,” Msukwa lamented.
Moyale Barracks FC Coach Pritchard Mwansa said he was content with securing one point, acknowledging that his team created numerous chances but struggled to convert them.
The match saw Bangwe All Stars’ Shukuran Goba scoring in the 52nd minute, with Moyale Barracks FC’s Emmanuel Allan equalising through a penalty in the 96th minute.
