Minister of Agriculture Sam Kawale has urged agriculture stakeholders to actively participate in dialogues aimed at transforming the agriculture sector through the mega farms initiative and targeted farm inputs.
Kawale said this as the stakeholders are conducting a high-level meeting this morning to strategize on transforming the sector through the mega farms initiative and targeted farm inputs.
The dialogue, among other things, seeks to provide insights from civil society organisations on approaches that are advantageous to both large and small-scale farmers towards food security and economic growth.
The discussions are also a platform for the Ministry of Agriculture to keep CSOs abreast of developments regarding the Affordable Inputs Program (AIP) reforms and implementation of the mega farms initiative.
