The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the SOS Children’s Village Malawi are orienting village integrity committees in Chikwawa to elevate the fight against corruption.
The training is being held in the area of Senior Chief Ngabu.
George Makande, ACB’s Senior Corruption Prevention Officer, stresses the need to fight the vice from the grassroots.
“We are training them on how they can report corruption cases,” Makande said.
Smart Namangonya, National Director for SOS Children’s Village Malawi, said they have a role to play in the eradication of corrupt practices.
Namagonya stressed that, “We are not immune to fraud and corruption hence participating in this initiative.”
District Integrity Committee Chairperson for Chikwawa, Georgina Mulande, has since hailed the initiative.
